At the most basic level, the job of the VoIP gateway is to do just as the name suggests: convert the regular analog voice borne by the traditional telephone network into IP data packets for transmission on the Internet and vice versa. Of course, Epygi never does anything at a basic level. Epygi Gateways offer built-in auto-configuration, firewall and secure VPN support, call quality enhancements and even PBX functions like auto-attendant, voice mail and call statistics.
The bonus features come in handy when you use Quadro gateways to integrate branch offices onto the company IP PBX network. They're valuable for migrating your legacy PBX onto the Internet. And they're keen for service providers delivering voice applications via the Web.

The Quadro FXO 4 gateway is a modular and cost-effective approach to adding four additional outside PSTN lines to a corporate phone network that utilizes either an Epygi Quadro IP PBX or a SIP-based PBX. It can also be used to IP-enable a legacy analog PBX connecting the FXO ports to FXS extensions.
Each Quadro FXO 4 is a stand-alone SIP-compliant gateway device that also includes a firewall, VPN capability and Auto Attendant for two-stage dialing.
The FXO 4 integration with any Quadro IP PBX is pure plug-and-play. If FXO ports are in short supply, you can add multiple gateways to the Quadro IP PBX which recognizes each gateway automatically. The simple configuration and superb voice quality makes the FXO 4 gateway easy to deploy and manage. The Quadro FXO 4 Gateway can be used stand-alone as well, without an IP PBX. The four FXO lines can be assigned VoIP network DID numbers by an ITSP.

The ability to use a large existing analog telephone base with a new IP telephony network is a very important requirement for many Epygi customers. The Quadro FXS 26 gateway can be added to an IP network allowing the analog phones to join the new VoIP network. These gateways can be stacked for additional capacity and is only limited to the capacity of the core IP PBX the gateway connects to. This gateway can be installed with any SIP-compliant IP PBX on the market or plug and play with an Epygi IP PBX. The modular approach of the Epygi gateway allows the SMB or enterprise customer to retain an investment from the past while adopting the latest technology with ease.
The QuadroFXS 26 gateway provides a number of powerful features not found on standard FXS gateways. This includes a detailed call routing table with digit manipulation options. Most of the call routing and other features related to call handling found in our IP PBX products is also available on the Epygi gateways. Once the FXS gateway has registered with the Epygi IP PBX, the FXS extensions are mapped to IP lines and managed directly from the Epygi PBX management GUI. An end-to-end Epygi solution simplifies management and deployment, thus reducing the total cost of ownership of an Epygi IP PBX network.

This model features 30 channels of compressed g.729 codec and conforms to a broad variety of voice codecs and signaling protocols. Architecture and design enhancements improve sound quality and application integration.
The QuadroM E1/T1 is available in a sturdy metal rack-mountable housing that permits the inclusion of a built-in power source and cooling fan for heavy duty operation and extended life span.
The QuadroM version includes call routing and auto attendant capabilities, voice prioritization over data and sophisticated firewall and security elements. The QuadroM functions primarily to bridge traditional PBX traffic to the Internet, reducing costs and simplifying system administration.

The QuadroM Dual E1/T1 doubles again the call capacity of the QuadroM E1/T1, affording as many as 60 simultaneous calls (48 simultaneous calls for T1--US and Japan) from the two broadband trunks. The QuadroM Dual E1/T1 30 features 30 channels of g.729 compression codec, QuadroM Dual E1/T1 60 allows for 60 channels. Sound quality and application integration match the quality of the QuadroM E1/T1 with single port.
