Welcome

Introduction to DrayTek, presenters and training contents

9:45 AM – 10:45 AM

Session 1 Enabling IP Connectivity

We’ll talk about WAN, LAN and VPN. Some small but useful features will also be discussed. After gaining an understanding of these three essential and basic features, we then use our knowledge to configure the powerful Load-Balance/Route Policy.

· Multi-WAN

· LAN/VLAN

· VPN solution

· Load-Balance/Route Policy

10:45 AM – 11:00 AM Coffee Break
11:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Hands-on LAB 1

· Setup a router with dual-WAN, VPN, VLAN and load balancing

· Test connectivity

12:30 PM – 1:20 PM Lunch (Provided)
1:20 PM – 2:20 PM

Session 2 – Controlling IP Connectivity

Firewall is always the key feature on a router. With Web Content Filter and User Management, the firewall is not only about security, but also allows us to restrict the Internet accessibility to certain users. Schedule is another plus to make many features more flexible.

· Firewall Rules

· Web Content Filter with DNS Filter

· User Management

· Schedule

2:20 PM – 3:20 PM

Hands-on LAB 2

How to configure:

 · Firewall rules

 · Web content filter and schedules

 · Test connectivity

3:30 PM - 4:30 PM

Advanced Topic 1 – Central VPN Management and AP900 Introduction

We’ll explain Central VPN Management (CVM) and how to make it easy to establish and manage LAN to LAN VPNs by "drag-and-drop" on the GUI. We will also touch on WiFi products and Central AP Management that allows Administrator to synchronize and manage all the APs via one central CPE. The Station Control feature will be presented, it makes it easy to restrict WiFi access time/reconnection time to each device.

 · CVM

 · WiFi AP900 and general introduction to “n” and “n-plus” models

 · Central AP Management: AP Load Sharing, Roaming, Neighborhood AP Detection with Rogue AP Detection

 · WiFi AP900 and general introduction about all our "n" and "n-plus" models

 · Station Control

 · Troubleshooting VPN PPTP/L2TP/IPsec
