Digium TDM2400B/AEX2400

Digium's high density multi-port analog card. Scalable, mix and match FXS & FXO, plus echo canceling, as needed.

The Digium® TDM2400P is a full-length 32-bits 33 MHz PCI2.2 compliant card that supports quad FXS station and quad FXO office interfaces (for a total of 24 maximum channels on a single PCI slot) for connecting analog telephones and lines trough a PC. The TDM 2400 can be used to connect standard telephone lines to a PC and Asterisk.

The Digium® AEX2400 is a full-length PCI-Express 1.0-compliant modular gateway card for connecting analog telephone stations and analog POTS lines through a PC. It supports a combination of up to six quad port station or trunk modules for a total of 24 lines.

Using Digium’s TDM hardware, Asterisk PBX software and standard PCs, users can create SME or SOHO telephony environment that includes all the sophisticated features of the high-end PBX/Voicemail platform.

Using and industry-standard bursting, bus-mastering PCI interface chip, and Digium’s patent-pending VoiceBus technology, the TDM2400/AEX2400 eliminates the requirement of separate channel bank and T1/E1 interface cards, at an industry-leading price. The quad FXO and quad-FXS modules are interchangeable, allowing the creation of any combination of interfaces.

The naming convention for the TDM24/AEX24 bundles is as follows: TDM/AEX24XYB. Where "TDM24" and AEX24 denotes that the card has up to 24 ports, "X" denotes the number of quad FXS modules, "Y" denotes the number of quad FXO modules, "B" indicates that that this product is a bundle.

To achieve hardware echo cancellation, any of these cards can work in conjunction with the new module VPMADT302. The VPMADT302 provides 128 ms or 1024 taps on each of up to 31 channels and is based on Adaptive Digital Technology's echo cancellation algorithm and runs on a Texas Instruments DSP. The ADT echo can technology is G.168 compliant and has been approved by the AT&T labs as toll-quality.

If the hardware echo cancellation module is not installed, the TDM2400/AEX2400 may be used in conjunction with Digium's High Performance Echo Cancellation (HPEC) software, a commercial and toll quality hybrid echo cancellation solution. Digium's HPEC provides 16ms to 128ms of selectable near-end ITU G.168 compliant echo cancellation in software.
