Combining the Altai patented smart antenna technology, MIMO and multiradio hardware design, the A3 Smart WiFi is not only configurable as an access point, but also as a CPE, repeater or bridge for different deployment scenarios. The A3 Smart WiFi provides flexible, multiple backhaul capabilities including HSPA/WiMAX/LTE in addition to its standard backhaul interface. The advanced design of the A3 Smart WiFi offers unprecedented performance, rapid deployment and scalability to users, providing a cost-effective wireless solution for Internet connection.

Built-in Controller to Provide User Authentication and Bandwidth Management

With its built-in controller, the A3 Smart WiFi will enable service operators to turn the gas station, convenience store, billboard, bus station etc. into hotspot overnight. The controller has a built-in captive portal (HTML-based login page) user database for user authentication. It can also redirect the users to various third party portals, AAA server or DHCP server as well, depending on which base station and SSID the user associated to. Users can login via captive portal, 802.1x RADIUS server or MAC address authentication. Different authentication methods can be assigned to different SSID/VLAN. The traffic can be differentiated based on VLAN, Ethernet bridged GRE tunnel, MAC address, user name and password etc. The QoS/bandwidth management policy can be implemented by controlling the bandwidth, the transmit/receive data rate or upload/download limit of a user session.
